The Cosumnes River Nature Conservancy is a large area set aside for waterfowl in the wetlands of the California Delta. A system of miles of walkways through the natural wetlands is certainly worth a visit. Many types of waterfowl can be viewed and photographed. Make it a picnic, as the deck of the visitors center has several tables and a great view. They close the gates at 5 PM, but cars can be parked outside of the close in parking. Enjoy a quiet day in a rare setting.
