This 1925 Mack owned by the Stantons was very popular. It drove through Galt to the show "at speed," which is about 15 mph.
This was our second year at the McFarland Ranch and it was just about perfect. This year we had commercial and craft exhibits, face painting, an antique photo studio and breakfast burritos. Next year we plan to have even more of the things that you tell us you want. Please send your suggestions for any improvements to w6rec @ sbcglobal.net. This was the first year for judging costumes. Many show up in costumes as a matter of course, so we thought it proper to award a costume award. It is obvious that this was a popular event and it will be advertised and expanded for 2006. Thanks to all who participated.
These were the entries.
Cal & Inger Bisson with their 1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe from Auburn, CA took away top honors for costume(s) and they were perfect.
These 4 students are from the Drama department of Galt High School. They are Andrew Teixeira as Dr. Orr, Aimee Sayre as Mary Orr, Buddy as Fred Harvey and Lindsay Jones as Genevieve Harvey. These young students did an outstanding job as actors and seemed to really have fun as they wondered around and greeted attendees.
Charlie Selkirk of the Model A Club was "surprised" with a birthday cake from her friends. It was her 29th, or so I heard her tell others.
